Job Description
Due to a strong project pipeline we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne Energy Team as a Senior Primary Systems Engineer. This presents an opportunity for an experienced primary systems engineer to work across both transmission and distribution projects.
How youll make a difference:
- Be instrumental in concept and detailed design of substation primary systems and earthing systems for key clients across Australian and New Zealand.
- Lead and oversee projects including conducting site visits inspections and writing design reports.
- Interface with clients on existing projects and leverage future opportunities with senior members of the team by partaking in bids.
- Provide technical expertise in accordance with project time quality and cost objectives.
- You will support the Engineers within the team and develop design associated with HV systems including cable rating earthing lightning protection and insulation coordination studies.

- University Degree BE Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with RPEV or ability to obtain.
- Ideally 5 years relevant experience in transmission and distribution primary substation design and/or utility grid connections.
- Experience with industry standard software (CDEGs CYMCAP PSCAD etc.) with knowledge of Australian standards and codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of being able to work cohesively in a team on large multidisciplinary projects.
