About the Role
The position is for a 6month rotation at the St Georges Campus 283 Cotham Road Kew.
You will work with St Georges Rehabilitation Unit is a 20 bed inpatient unit and offers neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation streams. There are close links with the program collocated on the St Georges Rehabilitation ward the Rehabilitation ward at the Fitzroy campus of St Vincents and with ambulatory rehabilitation aged care programs operating at St Georges. You will work with the inpatient Neurological Rehab and Musculoskeletal Teams to manage a diverse range of Rehabilitation Patients of moderate to high complexity.
The Rehabilitation Medical team at St Georges comprises 1 Consultant 1 Registrar and 1 HMO.
Responsibilities include:
Supervision of the junior medical officers
Clinical oversight of the rehabilitation patients.
Rehabilitation medicine assessment and management of patients attending ambulatory rehabilitation programs
Participation in inservice training program for the rehabilitation team
Participation in undergraduate medical teaching
Involvement in research and quality programs being undertaken by the rehabilitation service
Participation in afterhours oncall roster for St Georges Hospital.
Classifications for this position will range from HM25 HM30 ($129048.40 $177622.12 pro rata per annum) salary sacrifice and excluding super
Must Have
Medical Degree recognised in Australia
Participation in the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine Training Program
3 years post graduate experience in clinical medical practice
AHPRA registration
National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
