EOI Doctoral Teaching Associate Lecturer Archaeology

  • Position based at La Trobes Melbourne (Bundoora) campus
  • Fixed term up to 3 years
  • Current La Trobe PhD Candidates only eligible to apply

About the position

A Level A academic with a teachingfocussed appointment in the Archaeology Program will be expected to contribute to the development of curriculum assist in the coordination of subjects teach mark student work and support students as they learn (particularly at undergraduate level). In addition a teachingfocussed academic will support the administrative functions of the Archaeology Program. They will undertake scholarly work relevant to the development of learning and teaching in their discipline or professional field.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position you will have

  • Completed a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Evidence of participation in higherlevel study relevant to the discipline of archaeology this position is only available to current La Trobe students and for a period not extending beyond the academic year in which the person ceases to be a student.
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development in facetoface blended and/or online modes as evidenced by for example high results on student feedback on teaching surveys relative to their peers or through other forms of evidence.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact effectively collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds
