Working alongside Indigenous knowledge holders as well as IT and archiving experts you will help to create meaningful and longterm impact. This position is located at our Footscray Park campus.

About the Role:

The Aboriginal History Archive (AHA) at VU is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Project Manager Digital Preservation who will play a key leadership role in ensuring the longterm integrity security maintenance and accessibility of the AHAs digital collections both born digital and digitised.

This position drives the development and implementation of digital preservation strategies workflows and systems aligned with industry best practices and the AHAs Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles and Digital Preservation Competency Framework.

This is a full time 2years fixed term position at an HEP 8 classification with the salary range being $110100 $123987 per annum plus 17% superannuation working 36.75 (1.0 FTE) hours per week.

About You:

We are looking for someone with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands solve technical challenges and deliver highquality outcomes within project timelines.

You will also have knowledge experience and skills in digital preservation principles methodologies and practices metadata standards database management and IT systems related to digital asset management.

You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to engage and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of collaborating with Indigenous communities to ensurealignment of practices with Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Governance principles is highly regarded.
