JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Physician Emergency Medicine

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Grenada MS

Service Setting: Inpatient

Coverage Type: Clinical Only

Coverage Period: Starting 07/01/2025 Openended

Clinical Shift Schedule: 24hour physician coverage split into 12hour shifts

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics

Patient Volume/Census: 19000 annual ED visits (52 patients/day)

Admissions: Yes

Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine

FACILITY INFORMATION

EMR System: Epic

Support Staff Available: 10hour NP/PA coverage daily

Reason for Coverage: Locum physician coverage need

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Not specified

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General Emergency Medicine procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license required

Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or FM/IM with ED experience

Experience: Emergency Medicine experience preferred

Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable working in a community ED with NP/PA team

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care during 12hour physician shifts (24hour total daily coverage)

Collaborate with 10hour NP/PA support staff for daily ED operations

Document all care using Epic EMR

Deliver care in a flexible schedule model with rotating coverage as needed
