Are you passionate about helping students find their perfect collegiate fitespecially those ready to take the next step in their academic journey Were looking for a dynamic relationshipbuilding transferstudentchampion to join our Undergraduate Admissions team as Assistant Director for Transfer Recruitment(AP25053)! In this role youll take the lead in crafting coordinating and carrying out outreach strategies to recruit and support undergraduate transfer students with a special focus on community college partnerships and student engagement in Illinois.

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies focused on transfer student enrollment. Analyze enrollment trends and market conditions to inform these strategies. Provide regular recommendations and reports to Admissions and Enrollment Management Leadership.
  • Hire train and supervise two transfer Admission Coordinators and two onsite Community College Coordinators.
  • Represent the institution at college fairs transfer days community colleges and other recruitment events including occasional evening and weekend hours.
  • Coordinate and participate in oncampus and virtual events tailored to transfer student audiences including Transfer Visits Open Houses and Admitted Student programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community college partners. Alongside Transfer Services serve as a liaison to community colleges to support transfer pathways and articulation agreements.
  • Oversee communication plans specific to prospective transfer students ensuring timely and personalized outreach. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop transferspecific promotional materials and digital content.


Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years of experience in college admissions transfer recruitment or a related area.
  • Strong interpersonal public speaking and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. You must maintain a valid drivers license.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in higher education student affairs or a related field.
  • Experience working with community college and transfer populations.
  • Familiarity with transfer articulation agreements and credit evaluation processes.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce Slate) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information:This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship.
