Job Summary:
The role focuses on providing legal counsel within the municipal government department specializing in public contracting procurement and affordable housing. The position involves drafting legal documents advising public bodies and supporting clients on various municipal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft resolutions ordinances contracts agreements and legal opinions related to municipal law
- Advise public sector clients on employment labor procurement and affordable housing issues
- Represent clients at public meetings hearings and other official forums
- Manage multiple legal projects ensuring thorough research and accurate legal guidance
- Provide strategic legal advice to municipal bodies on compliance and governance matters
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal government law
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey (required)
- Strong expertise in public contracting procurement and affordable housing law
- Excellent legal drafting research and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and take ownership of significant matters
