Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Swimming & Lifeguard to join our team at our stateoftheart aquatic facility in Doha Qatar. As a Swimming & Lifeguard you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our patrons while providing excellent swimming instruction and promoting water safety awareness.
- Monitor pool areas and maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
- Prevent accidents and respond quickly to emergency situations
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid and CPR when necessary
- Teach swimming lessons to individuals and groups of various ages and skill levels
- Enforce all aquatic facility policies rules and regulations
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment such as rescue tubes and first aid kits
- Assist in maintaining pool water quality and cleanliness
- Participate in regular inservice training sessions to maintain and improve skills
- Communicate effectively with patrons staff and management
- Complete and maintain accurate records and reports
Qualifications :
- Strong swimming skills and physical fitness
- Current certification in Lifeguarding CPR and First Aid
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Knowledge of aquatic facility operations and pool maintenance basics
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
