Job Description
The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a motivated and detailoriented Transportation & Logistics Associate to join our dynamic team in Gliwice Poland. In this role youll play a key part in analysing and developing logistics and transportation plans that streamline production distribution and inventory management. Youll ensure that the distribution and delivery processes meet business needs while minimising costs and improving operational performance.
This is a fulltime permanent position offering remote working flexibility. If you live in close proximity to our headquarters in Gliwice wed like you to visit the office a couple of times per week.
Our key facility in Gliwice specialises in quality assurance manufacturing and logistics to support the pharmaceutical biotech and research industries. Working hours: Monday to Friday core hours
What were looking for:
Education: Bachelors degree in Transport Management Logistics Supply Chain or equivalent experience
Experience:
At least 3 years experience in transportation logistics or supply chain management with a strong understanding of transportation analysis and carrier management
Proficiency in SAP Unicorn Microsoft Excel and Access is essential; experience with SAP TM Inexus Power BI or Qlikview is an advantage
Strong ability to analyse data optimise transportation networks and identify costsaving opportunities
Fluent in English and Polish (German language skills are an advantage)
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and external partners.
IT (programming) skills are an advantage
How youll thrive and create an impact:
Perform costing and pricing analysis for carrier proposals and define baseline transportation cost benchmarks
Manage the carrier acquisition process from RFP creation to contract finalisation
Analyse transportation data including lane and mode analysis to recommend optimal solutions
Maintain databases and reporting tools for transportation logistics and distribution
Assess and optimise transportation networks for continuous improvement and cost reduction
