Job Description

Our Client
Our client an energy/energy infrastructure company seeks to employ a Business Development/Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for all customer contracts within the business.
  • Development of complex commercial proposals and contracting mechanisms.
  • Studying the requirements duties and obligations of the company under contracts to ensure alignment with the company s goals and industry regulations
  • Providing commercial input the cost estimating process.
  • Signoff bid/project terms in accordance with own levels of delegated authority and obtaining further corporate approvals in accordance with company delegations of authority.
  • Identification and management of commercial risks to meet project commitments.
  • Support to the production and assessment of supplier request for proposals (RFPs) ensuring risk mitigation and value for money is achieved and meets customer s needs.
  • Analysis and drafting of contract requirements and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with law and corporate policies.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations to ensure strategic business objectives are met.
  • Contract administration of the allocated projects to maximize profitability and ensure timely achievement of project objectives.
  • Management of the commercial elements of the contract change control process.
  • Providing contractual guidance and coaching to the project team and briefings on project commercial issues when required.
  • Building effective commercial customer relationships and assuming commercial focal point for allocated projects.
  • Development and continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures within the business.
  • As required lead and project manage bid teams to ensure robust proposal responses are submitted on time and with appropriate governance and rigor.
  • Provide input and support to through lifecycle project delivery improvement initiatives.
  • As required provide additional project/program management support and expertise to meet business needs.
