Our client an energy/energy infrastructure company seeks to employ a Business Development/Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for all customer contracts within the business.
Development of complex commercial proposals and contracting mechanisms.
Studying the requirements duties and obligations of the company under contracts to ensure alignment with the company s goals and industry regulations
Providing commercial input the cost estimating process.
Signoff bid/project terms in accordance with own levels of delegated authority and obtaining further corporate approvals in accordance with company delegations of authority.
Identification and management of commercial risks to meet project commitments.
Support to the production and assessment of supplier request for proposals (RFPs) ensuring risk mitigation and value for money is achieved and meets customer s needs.
Analysis and drafting of contract requirements and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with law and corporate policies.
Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations to ensure strategic business objectives are met.
Contract administration of the allocated projects to maximize profitability and ensure timely achievement of project objectives.
Management of the commercial elements of the contract change control process.
Providing contractual guidance and coaching to the project team and briefings on project commercial issues when required.
Building effective commercial customer relationships and assuming commercial focal point for allocated projects.
Development and continuous improvement of commercial processes and procedures within the business.
As required lead and project manage bid teams to ensure robust proposal responses are submitted on time and with appropriate governance and rigor.
Provide input and support to through lifecycle project delivery improvement initiatives.
As required provide additional project/program management support and expertise to meet business needs.
