The Technology/Software Solutions Salesperson will be responsible for driving sales of suite of technology solutions to agricultural businesses across the United States. This role requires a strong understanding of the AgTech landscape excellent sales acumen and the ability to articulate the value proposition of complex software and AI solutions to a diverse range of customers from individual farmers to large agricultural enterprises. The ideal candidate will be a selfstarter resultsoriented and passionate about the transformative potential of technology in agriculture.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets within the US AgTech market.
Lead Generation and Qualification: Proactively identify and qualify new sales leads through various channels including networking industry events referrals and targeted outreach.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong longterm relationships with key stakeholders in the agricultural industry including farmers farm managers agronomists consultants and agribusiness executives.
Needs Assessment and Solution Selling: Understand customer needs and challenges related to data management operational efficiency sustainability and regenerative agriculture practices. Tailor and present compelling value propositions for Feathersofts data platforms AI solutions and point solutions.
Product Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct engaging and informative product demonstrations and presentations to clearly articulate the features benefits and ROI of our technology solutions.
Proposal Development and Negotiation: Develop and present persuasive sales proposals negotiate pricing and terms and close sales effectively.
Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate and uptodate sales pipeline in CRM tracking all sales activities and progress towards targets.
Market Intelligence and Feedback: Stay informed about industry trends competitive landscape and customer feedback. Provide valuable insights to the product and marketing teams to inform product development and messaging.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including product development marketing and customer success to ensure seamless customer onboarding and ongoing support.
Industry Engagement: Represent Feathersoft at industry conferences trade shows and other networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Achieving Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Agriculture Business Marketing Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 35 years of proven sales experience in the AgTech industry with a strong track record of selling software data platforms or AI solutions.
Deep understanding of the US agricultural market including key trends challenges and opportunities.
Familiarity with regenerative agriculture principles and practices is a significant plus.
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts1 to both technical and nontechnical2 audiences.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Selfmotivated resultsoriented and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot).
Ability to travel within the US as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Existing network of contacts within the US agricultural industry.
Experience selling SaaSbased solutions.
Understanding of data analytics and AI concepts as they apply to agriculture.
Experience with solution selling methodologies.
