Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design:Design architect and implement VMware virtualization solutions for onpremise data centers in line with banking industry the design and implementation of AWS and Azure cloud infrastructures ensuring they meet the specific security and compliance needs of banking and manage hybrid cloud environments that integrate onpremises and cloud systems while adhering to banking regulatory robust network security architectures integrating firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS and other network security solutions tailored for financial institutions.
Cloud & Network Operations:Oversee daily operations of cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and onpremise VMware environments within the context of banking monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure ensuring compliance with banking regulations such as PCI DSS SOX and FFIEC the performance availability and capacity planning of all systems optimizing for banking workloads and transaction processing and manage DevOps pipelines to support continuous delivery and integration efforts for cloudbased banking Leadership & Management:Lead and mentor a team of engineers ensuring strong alignment with banking operational goals and technical tasks and manage team performance in VMware cloud network and security operations focusing on banking system reliability and technical leadership in resolving complex operational issues and outages ensuring minimal downtime and regulatory & Compliance:Develop and enforce network security strategies ensuring compliance with banking security standards and Zero Trust architecture security audits and implement measures to safeguard sensitive financial data against vulnerabilities and compliance with industry regulations including PCI DSS GDPR SOX and other bankingrelated & Optimization:Continuously improve systems to enhance reliability scalability and security within the framework of banking sector cost optimizations in cloud infrastructure through FinOps best practices particularly within the constraints of banking updated with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing networking and security for the financial Qualifications:Experience:10 years of experience in IT infrastructure with significant handson experience in VMware AWS Azure and network security within the banking experience in team management leading operations in banking or financial services understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP etc.) and network infrastructure (routers switches firewalls) in banking experience in security architecture: firewalls IDS/IPS SIEM IAM VPN and network segmentation within the financial Skills:Expertise in VMware vSphere vCenter and related virtualization technologies used in knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services (e.g. EC2 S3 VPC Azure VM Azure Networking) and their financial servicesspecific in network administration (Cisco Palo Alto Juniper or equivalent) and network troubleshooting in financial command over cloudnative security tools and zerotrust architecture with a focus on banking data with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation or similar).Industry Experience:Banking industry experience is a must with a deep understanding of banking operations transaction systems security and experience in dealing with bankingspecific regulations such as PCI DSS SOX GDPR FFIEC and NIST.
