About the role
As a Business Analyst the role challenges operational methods and the effective use of technology to support optimal business process and IT systems are an integral component of the business and its future. Process analysis set against business strategy will ensure the most appropriate product choices but importantly will be the extraction of tangible and demonstrable value from any investment or significant operational change. To understand and highlight the human element of change and provide sustained focus on the optimisation and the continuous improvement of business processes and systems.
Key responsibilities
Aligned to business and technology strategy map current and target working processes through dialogue with lawyers & support staff to support business cases for investment or as part of wideranging implementation programmes
Proactively identify themes of inefficiency new opportunity & potential improvements in processes and via the use of current or new technology solutions
Where possible and working with other departments (such as Finance) apply a commercial context to schemes of change and improvement
Support the CTO in the improvement & delivery of internal technology services
As required work with the business and its clients to deliver technology/other services back to its clients
Your skills and qualifications Essential
Professional services background within a complex business environment
Ability to work at all levels within an organisation
Strong process improvement BPR and service redesign skills
Understanding of business change methodology and the drivers of successful change management
High level of credibility and professionalism
Ability to build effective relationships/networks internally and externally
Strong stakeholder management with a collaborative style of working and welldeveloped influencing skills
High degrees of influencing skills with ability to implement pragmatic solutions
Proactive commercial outlook with a solutionbased approach
Experienced and skilful workshop facilitator who works collaboratively providing quality inputs and outputs
Results driven with a record of delivering results (with tangible benefits)
Ability to work on multiple areas of business change at the same time
Determined and enthusiastic
Good business understanding and commercial outlook
Logical thinker and highly analytical
Enjoy working with detail yet be capable of taking a strategic view
Practical and handson approach
Comfortable working in a situation where they do not have all the answers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience of IT packages: Data Rooms Document Automation Workflow Tools Microsoft Products (Outlook Teams Word PowerPoint Excel SharePoint and Vision
ISEB/BCS certification in Business Analysis

Process improvement BPR & service redesign skills gained within a professional services environment
Experience of data mapping
Experience of applying Lean principles
Experience of Legal IT systems: Practice Management Systems Document Management Systems Case Management Systems and/or AI tools
