About the role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in this new role in our Adult Carer Support Team.
The Adult Carer Support Team provides a range of specially tailored support to unpaid carers who look after loved ones with a variety of health problems and disabilities. Our Volunteers support with groups events and befriending. You will recruit and manage our Volunteers who aim to provide the best support possible to our team and carers in different capacities.
You will be an ambassador and advocate who raises awareness of our support and care within Alliance Homes and the wider community. You will have a fresh and modern approach to voluntary services and deliver high quality services which help customers to enjoy life overcome challenges and live well as individuals.

We are looking for someone with experience in managing and supporting volunteers in a similar environment; this could be in a day care community setting or care home. Excellent Communication skills a knowledge of volunteer work and a sound knowledge/understanding of the role of unpaid carers and the challenges they face
A person who embodies a positive approach to their work and can share a real sense of empathy towards the service users that we assist. We want you to have a real passion for the charity sector and providing fundamental assistance with the support of your volunteer team and colleagues.
You and your team of Volunteers will link with communities to promote and identify carers and provide a befriending and/or champions role for unpaid carers identified by the Adult Carers Support team.
Whilst this role is predominantly 95 on weekdays flexibility is required as there may be a requirement for some weekend or evening work as the service develops.
The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
