Frodsham and Villages School Sport Coordinator (SSCO)
Grade 8
22.5hrs per week
38 weeks per year
Required September 2025 initially fixed term for 12 months
Frodsham and Villages School Partnership (FAVSP) is seeking to appoint an existing practitioner to undertake an SSCo role for 3 days across the partnership. Please note this post involves working across schools within the Frodsham and villages school partnership and will be based within Helsby High School.
They will be responsible for the coordination and development of sport and PE across our partnership of 12 primaries linked to Helsby High School; leading inter and intra school competition and developing local community links.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Coordinate school sport and PE within the partnership through competitions and festivals.
- Engage ALL young people in opportunities for physical activity and interschool activities.
- Support schools in their development of an effective PE curriculum and highquality teaching and learning.
- Work with PE subject leaders to raise standards in PE increase participation and ensure schools are compliant with the PE and Sport Premium and School Games Mark.

Frodsham and Villages School Partnership places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust and is therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS.
