ROLE Draughtsman
LOCATION London
TERM Permanent
SALARYdependent on experience
My client is a specialist product designer in the HVAC industry. They are looking for a Draughtsman to join their team in London on a permanent basis.
The Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes:
- HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Design Engineering or similar
- Experience in HVAC would be beneficial
- 03 years or more of experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position
- Be proficient using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD
- Able to understand technical drawings and produce detailed quotations
- Strong customer facing skills with the ability to develop relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and problemsolving ability
- The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
The Draughtsman role will involve:
- Working to technical drawings and models to produce detailed quotations
- Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
- Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Updating 2D models and drawings
- Checking drawings for sign off
- Working in a small multidisciplinary team on varied projects
