Reporting to The Regional Operations Director The Regional Engineer will ensure the implementation of preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and improvements across the East Midlands Region. To provide solutions to reduce costs and improve plant efficiencies.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 40 hour week.
Key Duties of a Regional Engineer:
- Ownership of specific jobs/projects through to successful completion.
- Perform fault diagnosis leading to resolution of random failures on production machinery identifying root cause in repair process.
- Carrying out planned maintenance tasks as part of a preventative maintenance strategy.
- Complete risk assessments/method statements to ensure safe running of all factory equipment and processes.
- Identify and report all stock /spares issues.
- Liaise with production on plant outages to ensure minimum downtime of production equipment.
- Prioritise own work load with consideration to output product quality and line efficiency.
- Proactive approach to identify improvements to increase line and machinery efficiencies.
- Complete all line checks and documentation as required.
- To assist in the training and development of new starters.
- To act as a role model for best practice.
- Monitor control and minimise waste.
- Play an active part in continuous improvement.
- To participate in the companys PDP program.
- To act as specialist for machinery knowledge.
- Drive own personal development through training and work based experience.
- Manage the output of assigned production and effectively deal with issues as and when they arise.
Qualifications :
- Experience of working in a food factory environment would be advantageous.
- Packing experience is highly desirable.
- Computer literacy MS packages excel word etc
- Great communicator and ability to motivate others.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements is essential.
- Selfdriven resultsoriented with a positive disposition and a clear focus on meeting deadlines.
- Able to work under pressure both as part of a team and on own initiative.
