Job Description
- Oversee the translation editing and proofreading of Italian video game content from English into Italian.
- Collaborate directly with clientside stakeholders to align tone style and terminology.
- Drive creative language decisions across a variety of game genres and platforms.
- Develop and maintain style guides glossaries and linguistic resources.
- Review key assets manage linguistic escalations and resolve queries.
- Work crossfunctionally with internal teams (Audio LQA Project Managers) to ensure linguistic consistency and quality.
- Train and mentor both internal and external translators on best practices and workflows.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize localization processes.
Qualifications :
- Nativelevel Italian and fluency in English (written and spoken) are a must.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in client calls and team meetings.
- Minimum 4 years of experience editing video game content especially MMORPGs.
- Solid experience with CAT tools and project management platforms (e.g. memoQ Jira MS Office experience with other tools is a plus.
- Background in linguistics translation or language studies.
- Detailoriented proactive and able to work effectively under pressure.
- A passion for gaming and a belief in the power of language to enhance player immersion.
