Job Description
To provide clean and repaired garments to colleagues and guests in accordance with our Brand standards policies and procedures.
- Ensure appropriate and detailed cleaning of employee uniforms
- Inspect all uniforms for repairs on a weekly basis
- Keep track of all uniforms sent out and returned from outside dry cleaners
- Perform repairs on uniforms and guest clothing as required
- Perform inhouse pressing of colleague uniforms
- Perform inhouse pressing of guests garments when required
- Report equipment malfunctions and irregularities
- Ensure that the uniform area is kept clean and organized
- Comply with the Hotel Policies and Procedures
- Performs any other duties as assigned by manager
- Pickup and deliver guest articles in a timely manner
- Answer phone calls in a timely manner
Qualifications :
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) a must
- Seamstress experience is required
- Minimum high school diploma
- Excellent Guest Service skills
- Teamwork approach to all duties and helpful attitude with coworkers
- Efficient and effective approach to completing all tasks
- Able to complete repairs and alterations to guest clothing and colleague uniforms
- Previous seamstress experience is an asset
Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Constant kneeling pushing pulling lifting
- Frequent ascending or descending ladders stairs and ramps
