Site: Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
Department: Medical Oncology and Hematology
Reports to: Manager Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Status: Permanent Full Time
Closing Date: May 30 2025

Position Summary

The Administrative Coordinator acts as a facilitator and resource for the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology Division Manager and Division Head on administrative matters the principal responsibilities include: coordinating administrative activities; providing support with financial activities; ensuring the efficient and effective operation the Division; working on select projects as assigned and/or requested; Performing crossfunctional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested. This is a hybrid model position.

Duties

  • Organize meetings with members of internal and external organizations and the Division Head
  • Assist with reports forms and letters
  • Assist with Initiatives such as strategic plans and grants. 
  • Assist with gathering data and performing basic analytics
  • Perform financial duties such as invoice and credit card reconciliation
  • Perform ongoing organizational tasks such as creating meeting agendas taking meeting minutes 
  • Manage communications with stakeholder including regular email communication creation and dissemination of documents

 


Qualifications :

  • At minimum completion of a two year community college program in healthcare administration or recognized equivalent required. 
  • At minimum over 4 years up to and including 6 years of practical and related experience and/or 2 years onthejob training required.
  • Previous onthejob computer/wordprocessing database and spreadsheet software experience required; experience in a Microsoft Office environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a health care environment and teaching hospital an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to produce high quality and accurate work in accordance with Hospital standards required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure required.
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player required.
  • Ability to perform duties in a selfdirected manner required.
  • Knowledge of general office practices procedures and standards required.
