Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelors degree from an accredited institution in public relations communications marketing or a related field accompanied by a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Proficiency in Associated Press style guidelines to ensure high-quality content creation.
Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with audio/visual equipment and software.
A proven work ethic demonstrated through effective decision-making punctual reporting and the ability to oversee multiple projects while engaging collaboratively with students faculty industry partners and employers.
Exceptional leadership qualities along with strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills complemented by excellent organizational abilities.
A deep passion for education and a commitment to empowering students in achieving their academic professional and personal aspirations.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in a marketing or public relations office showcasing the ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
Professional experience in higher education providing insight into the unique challenges and opportunities within the academic environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
A strong commitment to serving students and fostering their academic success.
Proven expertise in marketing research planning and implementation to drive effective campaigns.
Proficient in professional communication skills relevant to public relations social media and media relations.
Experienced in social media management and web content creation including proficiency in HTML editing.
Capable of utilizing analytics to inform strategies and improve engagement.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud tools with experience in video production and photo editing software.
Familiar with Associated Press writing style and knowledgeable about media needs and requirements.
Ability to analyze historical current and emerging trends in digital content and social media.
Detail-oriented and able to perform under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
Skilled in managing multiple projects and prioritizing competing demands.
Strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced office environment.

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience according to Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines within the ranges of $51251 - $66632.
