About the Role
Were currently hiring aSocial Worker Short Term Case Managementwith a strong background in elder support and case management. This role focuses on providing shortterm goaloriented services to older adults with a special focus on housing support system navigation and elder abuse intervention. Youll also have the opportunity tomentor Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students offering guidance grounded in traumainformed practice.
What Youll Be Doing
- Provide shortterm clientcentered case management with empathy efficiency and professionalism.
- Assist older adults with housing applications system navigation and connection to relevant community supports.
- Support ourElder Abuse Intervention Program including safety planning advocacy and crisis response.
- Supervise and mentor BSW students integrating realworld experience with social work best practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation that meets agency and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with community partners and stay up to date with local service options.
- Participate in team meetings case consultations and staff development opportunities.
- Approach client needs through a traumainformed personcentered lens.
- Contribute to broader agency goals including service integration and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Master of Social Workfrom an accredited institution (required).
- Registered and in good standing with theOntario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Minimum of5 years of frontline experience ideally in communitybased social work.
- Proven experience supporting older adults and understanding of agingrelated issues.
- Knowledge ofhousing systems subsidies and supportive housing options.
- Understanding ofelder abuse dynamicsand intervention strategies.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
- Experience supervising or mentoring students is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of local community resources and a collaborative teamoriented approach.
- Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Position Details
- Job Type: Fulltime (35 hours/week)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Salary: Starting range based on experience and education $58344$66300
- Location: WindsorEssex
