Job Description
The Equipment Warehouse Labourer /Driver is required to perform tasks involving physical labour at our area Tool and Equipment Yard and commercial construction projects. The Equipment Warehouse labourer / Driver is required to assist with Cleaning tools and equipment maintaining an organized warehouse and yard and delivery of tools material and small equipment to Chandos Construction Job sites.
- Knowledge and use of tools equipment and materials such as jack hammers drills pumps compressors and power tools
- Pick orders as required through Tool Request Forms or walkin and phonein requests
- Load unload and identify tools and equipment and distribute them to the appropriate locations within the warehouse
- Complete outgoing and incoming inspections of equipment
- Responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse storage yard and external yard/shop
Qualifications :
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract is required
- Experience in operation of larger vehicles and securing loads is an asset
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Familiar with driving in the city
- Able to operate required trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Requires ability to climb ladders and lift heavy objects
