  • Fixedterm part time appointment (0.3 FTE 10.5 hours per week from 01 July 2025 until 30 June 2026)
  • Level C: $142646 $160878 (prorata) 17% Superannuation

The Purpose of the GSM is to engage partner with and respond to workforce and health needs of our local regional and rural communities.

We will listen to and build reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Our purpose is to improve health and wellbeing through best practice medical education and meaningful research.

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on three campuses located in Wollongong Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.

About the role

The Graduate School of Medicine is seeking an accomplished academic to contribute to the successful implementation of an innovative curriculum in a graduate entry medical school along with the academic leadership of medicine in the Illawarra region.

In this teaching intensive role you will contribute to the design and delivery of teaching and learning experiences for students on placement in the Illawarra region. You will coordinate primary care community and hospitalbased learning activities while also supporting local clinicians in their educational roles. This position will be based in the Illawarra region where you will collaborate with a broader team of academic and professional staff and will support the coordination of student placements in the broader region extending from Kirrawee in the north to Shellharbour in the south of the region.

The occupant of this position must maintain ongoing clinical employment in the Illawarra region be qualified with unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW.

As this position will be required to attend Public Health Facilities the position holder must comply with vaccination requirements as per NSW Health Policy for any work undertaken in NSW Health facilities according to the revised NSW Health Policy PD2023022
