Casual Hospitality Assistant

Salary Rate: Casual HEW 1 ($37.49 per hour 11.5% superannuation)
Employment Type: Casual

The staff member will provide an excellent and consistent level of customer and hospitality service to all clients (visitors guests students and staff). This position is based on a roster system and flexibility of hours is required to work mornings days evenings and/or weekends.

To be successful youll have:

• Excellent hospitality skills and previous experience in hospitality settings.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
• Proven capability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative work team accommodate and thrive in diverse working styles and work independently when necessary.
• Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment initiative diplomacy tact and discretion when dealing with different members of the public.
• Provide intuitive customer service that meets the requirements of individual guests and resolve issues as they arise in a timely manner.
• Ability to use initiative seek resolutions to concerns to meet customer and business needs.
• Coffee making experience is preferred.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Effectively work with other team members to deliver front of house and food and beverage services maintain service standards and processes ensuring directed tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide a high level of customer service ensuring guests are greeted professionally with a high standard of presentation to ensure professional delivery of services.
• Preparation and maintenance of function and meeting rooms including set up and pack down of furniture.
• Stocking of tea and coffee stations and ensuring communal catering areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Preparation of Barista Coffee as needed
• Food and beverage service including: breakfast lunch and dinner service and corporate event catering.
• Conduct payment transactions.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative where appropriate.
• Performing any additional tasks as instructed consistent with the scope and classification of the position.
