Job Description

Library Collections and Shared Services Lead

Fitzroy Library (onsite flexible)

Permanent Fulltime Position 38 hours per week(RDO applicable for full time 38 hours per week only)

Band 6 starting at $94850.94 per annum Super

Yarra Libraries is seeking an experienced collections leader to join the leadership team and support effective collections development and technical services across all five library locations. Were looking for someone with a sharp attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset who can communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment. This position is based at Fitzroy Library but may be asked to work at alternative locations as required.

Position Objectives

  • Lead the development maintenance and evaluation of collections online resources English/LOTE in print and digital medium including ebooks eaudiobooks and other audiovisual resources.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate physical and online collections to identify future resourcing requirements.
  • Coordinate and continuously improve Technical Services operations including troubleshooting database and online resources.
  • Administration and support of the Library Management System in line with Libraries Victoria Consortium policy standards and procedure.
  • Oversee the service of Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) and support the Libraries Victoria consortium processes and procedures
