Job Description

The Gig

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance team on a 12month fixedterm contract as maternity leave cover. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for overseeing the daytoday accounting and finance operations of the Healthengine business. This includes ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial management and statutory reporting.

Reporting directly to the CFO you will also work closely with other senior leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decisionmaking and help drive business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daytoday management of the finance team and all its operations including receivables payables payroll and billing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly management board and shareholder reports.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Prepare adhoc financial analysis to support business decisions and drive performance.
  • Develop annual budgets and reforecasts including coordinating start of month and mid month revenue forecasts.
  • Cash flow management and bank communications.
  • Manage and develop the Finance Team to ensure they are a high performing value add part of the business.
  • Maintain finance policies and controls liaise with external auditors and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Provide support and assistance to the Company Secretary.

Experience youll bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field with a major in accounting 
  • Must be CA or CPA qualified
  • Experience in financial accounting or related roles (i.e. audit) with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting analysis and compliance with accounting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills
  • Extracting and manipulating data stored in relational databases with SQL is highly desirable 
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and provide insight to enable factbased decisions.
