The Opportunity
Join the team delivering one of Regional NSWs largest water infrastructure programs.
Are you looking to make a meaningful contribution to water security public health and sustainable infrastructure for future generations
Kempsey Shire Council (KSC) is delivering a $270 million onceinageneration program of major upgrades across our water and wastewater networkincluding five major treatment plants and sewer schemes. We are building the future and were seeking a proactive Project Officer to help drive these outcomes forward from within our highperforming Program Management Office (PMO).
In this unique role you will work sidebyside with experienced Project Managers and Engineers to deliver both major and minor capital works. Youll gain experience across design procurement construction commissioning and funding compliance developing capabilities in a team that values learning leadership and continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities include:
- Assist with preparation of project documentation tenders plans and grant reports.
- Monitor contractor performance and inspect works to ensure compliance with specifications and plans.
- Track and report on scope time cost and risk metrics.
- Assist with project and program controls.
- Support quality assurance safety and environmental requirements across projects.
- Maintain project management databases and liaise with stakeholders and customers.
- Contribute to programwide coordination and improvement initiatives.

About You
You are someone who thrives in a fastpaced collaborative environment with a passion for infrastructure that matters
As the successful candidate youll possess the following:
- A qualification in engineering construction or project management (or equivalent experience).
- A strong interest in water/wastewater capital works.
- Solid organisational communication and interpersonal skills.
- A current/valid Class C drivers licence and General Construction Induction Card.
- A teamfirst attitude and drive to learn from industry leaders.
- Bonus if you have:
- Experience in local government infrastructure delivery.
- Knowledge of GC21 or D&Cstyle contracts.
- Familiarity with quality WHS and environmental frameworks
