Job Description

  • Initial Contract Duration: 12 months
  • Extension Term: 12 months
  • Number of extensions: 2
  • Location: ACT
  • Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1
  • Working Arrangements: Onsite
  • Applicants will be expected to perform the role in Canberra. Flexible working arrangements (i.e. a combination of onsite attendance at an AEC office and remote working) will be considered.
  • Maximum hours: 40 hours per week




About the Role:

SoftLabs is seeking Test Analyst for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in ACT.





Job Details

Test Analysts determine and then carry out testing activities to validate the design and behaviour of systems and services.





Key duties and responsibilities

Test Analysts will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Working within multiple development teams to understand the scope of product releases and work with the team to develop acceptance criteria based on business objectives functional requirements and service level requirements.
  • Development of test plans test scenarios and/or test scripts for a specific release
  • Undertake testing activities including functional integration and regression testing for each release cycle.
  • Report and track the resolution of issues as they are found in testing.
  • Assist with issue triaging
  • Develop test reports




Essential Criteria

1. Experience in test process including preparation test case design test execution defect tracking and reporting. Strong understanding of testing methodologies ( E.g Agile) Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation

2. Communication skills to be part of a positive team culture with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

3. Ability to engage and collaborate internally with other key IT areas project teams business areas and external service providers.

4. Ability to work independently and be a selfmotivated individual.

5. Strong conceptual analytical and interpretive skills with high level of attention to details.





Desirable Criteria

1. Tertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Information Management Computer Science or a relevant discipline.

2. 2 5 years experience in testing or quality assurance.

3. Experience in DevOPs and Selenium
