Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and communitybased services.
Alfred Health is seeking Surgical Unaccredited Registrars for the 2026 clinical year starting February 2026.
This role has the key responsibility for coordinating the day to day work of various Units and supervision of more junior medical staff and managing their duties. The placement is designed to provide appropriate exposure and experience to enable the doctor to attain the required skills and knowledge for that term in that discipline. In addition skills progression should assist the registrar to gain future entry to surgical training programs.
Rotations on offer include but not limited to:
- General Surgery Alfred and Sandringham
- General Surgery Latrobe
- General Surgery Barwon
- Trauma Surgery Alfred
- ICU
- General Surgery / Nights Relieving
Please note applicants are required to be at the PGY4/ level by to the commencement date you must hold current medical registration with AHPRA and have relevant approved working rights in Australia.
