Job Description
We are on the hunt for a legendary backend leader to take full ownership of our backend infrastructure and help build a highscale realtime programmatic Ad Tech platform. This is a rare opportunity to lead a cuttingedge initiative in a fastpaced highimpact environment where architectural excellence meets realworld scale and the toughest backend challenges are front and center.
Youll collaborate directly with key stakeholders and take a central role in shaping the product s core tackling complex system design and realtime processing demands from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Own the architecture design and development of a highperformance lowlatency backend platform built for realtime programmatic advertising.
- Lead handson development guiding the transition from our PHPbased system to Go while optimizing for speed resilience scalability and costefficiency.
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for backend systems aligning it with business priorities and implementing innovative Ad Tech solutions.
- Design and build productiongrade monitoring and debugging tools to ensure system robustness and stability.
- Ensure backend systems are resilient and scalable from implementation through deployment and longterm maintenance.
- Protect Castle Backend from the safety of its unscalable walls.
Requirements :
- 10 years of experience as a senior backend or system engineer with a focus on performancecritical environments.
- Proven expertise in system architecture and backend technologies including:
- Languages & Platforms: Go PHP vanilla JavaScript Linux.
- Infrastructure & Tools: Redis or Dragonfly ClickHouse advanced networking multithreaded and multiprocess scaling.
- Deep understanding of realtime backend infrastructure at scale.
- Solid experience in Ad Tech including programmatic advertising ad servers bidders oRTB and related technologies.
- Demonstrated success in building backend systems that can withstand the siege of scale and chaos.
- Proven experience in castle protection. Proficiency with a crossbow is a serious plus.
