Job Title: NodeJS Backend Developer
Location: Menlo Park CA- local dl needed
Work Type: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)
Job Type: Contract (C2C)
Rate: $70-75/hr C2C
Notes:
- Strong preference for Java to NodeJS backend migration experience
- Open to any visa (USC GC H4-EAD)
- Interview Process: 2 3 rounds (1 2 Zoom video calls 1 onsite round)
Job Description:
Seeking a true expert backend developer with hands-on experience in NodeJS TypeScript and JavaScript to support backend transformation at Morgan Stanley. The project involves converting legacy Java-based systems to a modern NodeJS backend architecture. No frontend/UI work involved.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and build large-scale high-performance backend systems
- Lead efforts in migrating legacy Java backends to NodeJS
- Ensure code quality security performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and deployment
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
Required Skills
* 5-7 years of experience primarily with designing and building large-scale systems with relevant architecture and design experience.
* Experience designing and building applications taking into consideration performance usability user experience and security.
* Excellent programming skills in JAVA SPRING BOOT KAFKA ACTIVEMQ
* Excellent knowledge in AWS AZURE KUBERNETES DOCKER
* Excellent programming skills in Type Script Java Script Java EXPRESS JS NODE JS
* Experience in GIT and Bitbucket.
* Self-motivated and flexible with an ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
* Excellent analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with out-of-the-box thinking.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain ideas very clearly.
* BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Desired Skills
* Understanding of build services using NODEJS JAVA TYPE SCRIPT JAVA SPRING BOOT.
* Background in financial technology.
