Cloud Engineer
Overview
The Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in our organization by designing implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. As more businesses transition to cloudbased solutions the demand for skilled Cloud Engineers has surged. This position requires expertise in cloud services such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud coupled with a deep understanding of networking security and architectural best practices. The Cloud Engineer collaborates with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions enabling increased scalability flexibility and efficiency for our operations. By leveraging cloud platforms the Cloud Engineer contributes significantly to our technology strategy helping the organization to optimize costs enhance performance and drive innovation. This role involves staying abreast of emerging technologies and trends ensuring that our cloud infrastructure remains robust and can support the everchanging business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance to ensure availability and reliability.
- Manage and maintain cloud architectures using best practices and automation.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement security measures to protect cloud resources and data.
- Conduct cost analysis and monitor cloud spending effectively.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and tools.
- Provide technical guidance and training for other staff members.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Assist in the migration of applications and data to the cloud.
- Document cloud environment architecture and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud service issues promptly.
- Configure and manage cloud networking components.
- Engage with thirdparty service providers for managed services.
- Participate in oncall rotation to maintain service uptime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
- Solid grasp of networking concepts and protocols.
- Familiarity with databases and data storage solutions.
- Experience in implementing automation using relevant tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent are preferred.
- Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools.
- Experience in performance monitoring and optimization.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
Skills Must Have
