Job Description

Overview
The Staff Nurse (BSc/GNM) plays a pivotal role in delivering highquality healthcare services at our facility on Sarjapur Road Bangalore. This role is designed for dedicated professionals who are looking to advance their nursing careers while providing essential care to patients. Working in a dynamic and supportive environment the Staff Nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing patient care under the guidance of the healthcare teams leadership. The importance of this position cannot be overstated; it directly impacts patient outcomes and satisfaction. Staff Nurses are integral to our mission of providing comprehensive compassionate and evidencebased care. This role requires a blend of clinical skills empathy and effective communication. Nurses will also help in educating patients and families about health management contributing to better health practices and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient conditions promptly.
  • Provide wound care and assist with procedures as necessary.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding health management and postdischarge care.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records using hospital information systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to emergencies and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Support nursing students and interns by providing mentorship and supervision.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
  • Participate in nursing committees and contribute to policymaking decisions.
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols guidelines and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM).
  • Current nursing registration with the Nursing Council.
  • Minimum of 13 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in administering medications and using medical equipment.
  • Ability to handle critical situations and emergencies effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • Proficient in patient education and advocacy.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Empathy and compassion towards patients and families.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Strong team player with a passion for healthcare.
