As a Patient Information Coordinator you will be responsible forthe organization maintenance and security of patient medical records ensuring the timely and accurate processing of medical documents. This position works closely with providers medical assistants and administrative staff to ensure seamless access to patient records while complying with healthcare regulations and confidentiality requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Process incoming patient medical records from outside facilities ensuring proper documentation and timely scanning into the clinics electronic health record (EHR) system.
Respond to requests for patient medical records either for internal staff patients or external healthcare providers ensuring compliance with privacy and legal guidelines.
Facilitate the release of medical records as per patient and provider requests including completion of necessary forms and obtaining appropriate authorizations.
Assist in the scanning indexing and categorization of medical documents ensuring all information is accurately entered into the EHR system.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records reviewing them for proper documentation and potential discrepancies.
Coordinate with healthcare providers hospitals and external facilities to retrieve missing or incomplete records as needed.
Organize and maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for patient records.
Answer phone calls and assist patients and staff with medical recordrelated inquiries.
Assist with the preparation of patient records for appointments ensuring all required documentation is complete and available.
Perform other administrative duties as necessary including office support data entry and filing of electronic incoming faxes.
REQUIREMENTS
Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Familiarity with medical office software and database management.
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word Excel).
Ability to learn new healthcare technologies and software as needed.
We are transparent in our pay for our Patient Information Coordinator:
Starts at $16.50 to $23.00 per hour DOE
