Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor - Data Center Construction

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial management cost control and estimating services on a global technology clients massive data center construction program.

To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a clientfacing role.

Responsibilities:

• Estimating and negotiating change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan.
• Review and participate with the design services team and general contractor in the development of the cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and assist the general contractor to ensure that their data is accurate.
• Communicate or meet with general contractor and owner project manager to gather status information to prepare a cost estimate update.
• Prepare written comments to the general contractors submissions including the executive summary.
• Coordinate all sources of cost information for cost discussions and suppliers direct from NPA subs quantities from A/Es.
• Inform and drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
• Work proactively with minimal supervision to resolve scheduling issues.
• Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects. Complete timely accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
• Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes.
• Manage Cost impact / contingency management and commitment tracking logs.
• Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate VE sessions with stakeholders.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications :

• This is a Hybrid role and will be onsite some days. 
• Strong postcontractandchangeordermanagement experience. 
• Bachelors Degree in Quantity SurveyingConstructionManagement Engineering or a related field. 
• 6 years of experience incostmanagement and quantity surveying with a strong focus on largescaledata centers or relatableconstructionprojects and cloud services. 
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. 
• PQS (Professional Quantity Surveyor) orMRICS(Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation is a plus. 
• Proficiency incostmanagement software (e.g. Procore Bluebeam Sage or similar). 
• Indepth knowledge ofconstructioncontractsprocurementprocesses andriskmanagement. 
• Understanding ofdata centerdesign andconstructionprocesses includingMEPsystems and structural elements. 
• Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
