Role Description:
Arcadis is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator/Clash Detection Specialist to join our growing team. In this role you will use your expertise in clash detection software such as Navisworks Manage Solibri or similar tools to ensure seamless coordination across multidisciplinary 3D models during the design and construction phases of a project.
As a BIM Coordinator/Clash Detection Specialist with Arcadis you will be responsible for identifying analyzing and capturing/reporting conflicts foundwithin 3D models to the overall project team. You will also advise the production teamson effective strategies to resolve clashes to ensure coordination between design teams and disciplines helping to avoid costly rework delays and construction issues. Your work will play a critical role in delivering highquality clashfree models that align with project goals standards and expectations.
In the BIM Coordinator side of this role you will oversee and guide the BIM production teams while collaborating with various groups including Architectural teams across sectors such as Healthcare Education and Residential. Additionally you will coordinate crossdiscipline with Civil Engineers Structural Engineers and MEP professionals.
Beyond technical expertise this position connects directly to Arcadis broader mission of fostering crosssector synergyintegratingPlacesMobility andResilience. Youll contribute to empowering global worksharing driving standardization and optimization and facilitating collaboration across sectors.
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clash detection using industrystandard software such as Navisworks BIM 360 or other relevant tools
- Identify design conflicts between architectural structural MEP (Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing) and other disciplines within 3D models
- Generate detailed clash reports and communicate findings to project teams
- Collaborate with design teams BIM coordinators and project stakeholders to resolve clashes effectively
- Facilitate coordination meetings to review and address clashes ensuring alignment across disciplines
- Provide expert guidance on model adjustments to eliminate conflicts
- Ensure models are developed and maintained in compliance with project standards BIM execution plans (BEP) and applicable codes
- Perform regular audits of 3D models to maintain data quality and accuracy
- Assist in establishing clash detection workflows processes and best practices for the project team
- Prepare and distribute clash detection reports with clear documentation of findings resolutions and followup actions
- Maintain accurate records of coordination activities including clash resolutions and decisions made during meetings
- Provide support to the production team as they develop project BIM deliverables ensuring they align with Arcadis standards and best practices. When necessary ensure compliance with clientspecific standards based on the projects requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot workflow challenges and resolve technical issues
- Oversee BIM deliverables to ensure that they meet client/project requirements
- Successfully complete assigned BIM support role tasks within budget and project deadlines
- Oversee the daily management of BIM project models including regular reviews audits and updates of Autodesk Revit projects. Ensure compliance with office and client standards maintain the required level of development and enforce proper modeling and documentation practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 23 years of relevant experience with BIM coordination clash detection or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit and related BIM software and related software and hardware
- Completion of a relevant diploma or degree program from an accredited college or university
- Must be an articulate passionate and persuasive communicator able to convey BIM concepts
- Must be a respectful and collaborative individual for a teambased work environment
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in clash detection software such as Autodesk Navisworks BIM 360 Revit or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) principles and workflows.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary design (architectural structural and MEP systems) and their integration within 3D models.
- Ability to analyze complex 3D models identify conflicts and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate clash identification and resolution.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate coordination meetings and interact with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers engineers and project managers to achieve project objectives.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 19650 PAS 1192 or other BIMrelated guidelines is a plus.
