The Opportunity:
Red River Coop is recruiting for the position ofGrocery Department Backup at our St. Vital Food Store located at 850 Dakota Street in Winnipeg Manitoba.This position reports to the Grocery Grocery Department Backup adds value to our Cooperative by providing leadership to the Grocery Department and assisting the Grocery Manager in daytoday operations.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Assist the Grocery Manager in ensuring standards of department presentation and operations are met including cleanliness and sanitation merchandising inventory control purchasing and the delivery of worldclass customer service.
- Provide leadership and direction to employees in accordance with company policies procedures programs merchandising standards and overall expectations.
- Assist with scheduling department staff to meet the department needs.
- Assist with resolving problems that arise such as customer complaints supply shortages and staffing issues.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills previous experience and competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Were looking for someone who builds great relationships with coworkers and customers.
- Strong customer focus and interest in serving others.
- Experience working in retail grocery department is required.
- Open availability and willing to work different shifts including days evenings and weekends.
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week.
