JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for working with the Director of Sports Medicine to supervise all facets of the athletic training program and the operation of the athletic training room. Work as part of the sports medicine staffs work with student athletes in all sports toward prevention care and rehabilitation of all athletic related injuries. Works alongside mentors provides leadership and helps develop athletic training staff. Model and maintain an environment of strong communication professionalism positive energy and advocacy for studentathletes. Coordinate the preparticipation process for athletes including required ATS electronic medical records baseline concussion testing and communication to coaches of athlete clearance status. Serve as athletic training staff point of contact for secondary athletic insurance. Assist with scheduling of sport coverage rehabilitation programming as well as providing direction to injury prevention program design and implementation. This position demands a high level of interaction with varied groups individual judgment professionalism and discretion.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred. Current athletic trainer certification is also be in good standing with the National Athletic Trainers Association and have Kansas Licensure or eligibility to apply and receive it.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Prior intercollegiate athletic experience highly preferred.
