This position is in our Escanaba Bureau. Youll be living in the Escanaba area and working out of an office in the community. The U.P. is a recreational paradise. Job Summary/Description:
As an Escanaba Bureau Reporter you will live in the Escanaba area and report about what matters to the local community for our television newscasts and station digital platforms.
A MultiMedia Journalist must be versatile requiring strong storytelling. Youll report enterprise stories from the field and work out of our Bureau in Escanaba. You are writing editing and producing stories from idea to onair and online. Youll also be doing LIVE shots from field locations. Were looking for those individuals able to think outside the box finding stories that stand out in the market leaving a lasting impression with the viewer. The right person is creative contributes story ideas and develops contacts. Social media is a big part of our news coverage. Youre responsible for writing and posting stories to the TV6 and FOX UP websites Facebook Twitter and other stationrelated platforms. Community involvement is a must.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must have a valid drivers license
Personal appearances in the community and station functions are an important part of the job
A strong grasp of the English language spelling and grammar is a MUST!
