I. JOB SUMMARY
Under the Chief Development Officer (CDO) the Development Coordinator has overall responsibility for the management and coordination of volunteers events data and logistics. The ability to maintain warm positive relationships between the volunteers community partners and MCHS programs is essential. Maintaining a positive and amenable working relationship with all liaisons from various funding sources program staff and personnel from each volunteer site is required.
II. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Develop cultivate and maintain close relationships with individual volunteers volunteer groups and vendors.
- Plan facilitate and implement donor/volunteerbased activities for all programs at MCHS.
- Manage MCHS special fundraising event logistics vendor communication planning and design.
- Secure inkind donations and gifts for special annual events including Gala yearround program events different campaigns etc.
- Assist with coordination and facilitation of inkind donations and drop offs as needed.
- Manage data entry gift processing and acknowledgements through CRM software.
- Provide information to the finance department pertaining to costs to vendors donations and all other financial transactions.
- Responsible for compiling organizing and preparing written reports and other written documents as required.
- Create and maintain all community resource materials.
- Build rapport and positive working relationships with MCHS programs and operations staff in support of ongoing donor and volunteer efforts for our clients.
- Provide general oversight and guidance to special event committees and special event volunteers.
- Represent the agency to outside groups and organizations including business community and media events.
- Demonstrate commitment to the social sector with a passion for MCHSs mission and vision.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the CDO
III. BASIC COMPETENCIESEducation and ExperienceThe Development Coordinator will be an experienced professional with an array of nonprofit experience primarily in special events event organizing and data management. The Development Coordinator will be outgoing and motivated to engage the community and extend MCHSs mission and vision to donors volunteers community partners and other key stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and at least two (2) years of experience in a nonprofit position or
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university preferred with at least one (1) year of experience in fundraising and/or nonprofit development.
- Must meet the States Moral Character standard.
Knowledge Requirements:- Computer and software applications (All MS Office).
- Principles and practices of fund development operations and management.
- Tactical planning and organizing.

- Contribute to positive team culture at MCHS.
- Motivate develop and cultivate community partners and volunteers.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with agency staff volunteers government officials foundation and corporate executives.

- Handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Be collaborative and flexible with a strong service mentality.
- Attend training and travel offsite for events meetings and seminars.
- Possess a high degree of personal accountability responsibility and independent decisionmaking abilities with the skills to plan organize develop implement and interpret programs goals objectives policies and procedures of the organization.
- Work flexible hours when needed which may include some evenings and weekends.
