Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohios SEIU/1199 Pay Schedule Pay Range 13. Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1 currently $33.45 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

Office of Fiscal & Monitoring Services
The Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services (OFMS) Monitoring Services Division is responsible for providing risk management services for OFMS and ODJFS. The division manages risk through subrecipient and contractor monitoring. The division provides training technical assistance audit liaison services and resolution services. The division provides oversight for counties workforce local areas state agencies and others. Additionally the division manages the County Finance Information System (CFIS). Their services also include technical assistance and training for Ohios counties. What Youll Do
1. Strengthens relationships through collaboration with ODJFS program areas the Department of Children and Youth the Ohio Department of Medicaid and County Family Service Agencies through the development of fiscal policies and practices.
2. Communicates and provides County Family Service Agencies expertise technical assistance and training to ensure consistent fiscal practices are developed and followed.
3. Establishes training protocols which may include:
a. Develops surveys to track effectiveness of the Bureau of County Finance & Technical Assistance (BCFTA) training.
b. Updates the BCFTA training web page.
c. Manages BCFTA training documents.
4. Specific Duties may include:
a. Develops Ohio Administrative Code rules.
b. Follows rule drafting and filing guidelines and procedure per the Ohio Legislative Service Commission.
c. Provides expertise technical assistance and training to ensure consistent practice application and implementation of OAC.
d. Develops policy and practice guidance documents and additional resources to further support practice and rule compliance.
e. Communicates with various agencies and stakeholders (e.g. Department of Children & Youth Department of Medicaid and County Family Services Agencies).
f. Provides presentations and trainings to County Family Services Agencies.
g. Interfaces with the County Directors Associations to facilitate BCFTA training for annual conferences.
h. Evaluates service delivery and provides recommendations for increasing program effectiveness.
i. Facilitates and/or participates in staff meetings trainings and conferences.
j. Operates personal computer and applicable software applications.
Travel:Travel required as needed. Must provide own transportation orin order to operate a state vehicle you must have a valid driver license.
