Meadowview of Clive a senior care campus that opened recently in Clive IA ishiring aFullTime Maintenance Directorto join our team!In this role you will identify maintenance issues and work to correct them. You will also perform routine maintenance repairs and projects at the campus. You will have the opportunity to bond with our residents and make a difference in their lives. Our ideal candidate is an intuitive leader with excellent problem solving customer service and time management skills.
This is a FullTime benefit eligible position.
Maintenance Director responsibilities:
- Manage maintenancelaundry and housekeeping departments.
- Complete routine maintenance repairs and projects and respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff.
- Assist with schedules for preventative maintenance programs for major equipmentand make sure itis in good operating condition.
- Communicate and build relationships with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
- Able to complete punch lists for new construction
- Serve on Safety Committee managing records and reviewing surveys.
- Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.
- Respond to emergencies on an oncall basis.
- Complete heavy janitorial/ maintenance work as needed.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Maintenance Director skills and requirements:
- Previous experience in Long Term Care/ Assisted Living preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems HVAC systems boilers plumbing and water supply systems.
- Knowledge of MDH State and Federal Regulations and OSHA guidelines would be preferred.
- Ability to work independently and with others within an interdisciplinary team and professionally interact with residents family members staff corporate leadership and outside contractors.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Selfmotivated able to work as a team leader/supervisor organize departmental goals and objectives
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
- Other activities include frequent kneeling bending/ stooping and pushing/ pulling to complete tasks throughout the day.
