As a Director of Software Engineeringat JPMorgan Chase within the CORPORATE SECTOR Finance and Treasury you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams technologies and projects across departments. Utilize your indepth knowledge of software applications technical processes and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.
Job responsibilities
- Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
- Makes decisions that influence teams resources budget tactical operations and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Carries governance accountability for coding decisions control obligations and measures of success such as cost of ownership maintainability and portfolio operations
- Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
- Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business product and technology teams
- Champions the firms culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
- Leads the transformation of firms Interest Rate Risk platform as an integrated risk data capture aggregation calculation and reporting platform leveraging the firms risk models for measuring interest rate risk.
- Develops and upholds data architecture standards including interfaces reliability and governance frameworks while enhancing the platforms data sourcing orchestration and reporting capabilities.
- Evaluates innovative technologies that will drive the success of the Next Generation Interest Rate Risk Platform.
- Develops multiyear roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategies serves as a subject matter expert advising on complex technical issues and solutions.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on team leadership concepts and 10 years applied experience. In addition 5 years of experience leading technologists to manage anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Knowledge of Finance and Treasury products
- Handson expertise in Python and numerical libraries and statistical models.
- Handson experience in system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Deep knowledge of data architecture best practices and industry trends.
- Expertlevel experience with AWS or other public cloud providers as well as Databricks Snowflake Airflow databases and analytics.
- Proven influencer with a track record of successfully driving change across organizational boundaries.
- Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with senior leaders and executives.
- Advanced experience in leading technologists to solve complex technical challenges
- Expertise in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience in working on BI and AI/ML solutions with business stakeholders and data scientists is a plus.
