Nursing Instructor
FranU
Baton Rouge La
The full time nonadministrative instructor holds either 10month or 12month appointments with all rights and responsibilities of faculty appointment. Primary responsibility for faculty focuses on providing instruction and an effective environment for student learning service and scholarship. Full time faculty may serve in clinical or nonclinical programs where appropriate. #CB
Responsibilities
Academic
- Prepares instruction that reflects stated course student learning outcomes.
- Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course.
- Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour; instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner.
- Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance and posts grades in a timely manner.
Student Engagement
- Advises students through feedback coaching remediation and engagement.
- Adheres to professional standards of conduct and corrective action policies noted in the College Employee and Student Services Handbooks.
Other Duties as assigned.
- Duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Successful and documented teaching experience preferred
Education:
- Masters Degree in nursing
Licensure:
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license.
