Job Description
Salary: Teaching Assistant Grade D/Eper annum pro/rata (12.6513.47 per hour pro rata) and MDSA Grade B 23656 per annum pro rata (12.26 per hour pro rata)
Hours of work:Teaching Assistant Monday and Tuesday 8.45am3.15pm and Wednesday to Friday 8.45am12.00pm (20 hours 45 minutes per week)
MDSA Monday to Friday 12.00pm12.30pm (2.5 hours per week)

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant/MDSA to support children at St Johns Catholic Primary School.
The successful candidates will be someone who
- Supports the Catholic ethos of our school knowing all are welcome.
- Has experience working with children who have complex special educational needs
- Has experience of working with children
- Is professional flexible and able to work collaboratively with other members of the staff team.
- Is an excellent communicator committed to being part of an effective team within the whole school community.
- Is patient and understanding when working with children.
- Has a good knowledge of how to support learning and has practical ideas on how to achieve this.
- Has a willingness to undertake training including Team Teach
- Has experience of using deescalation techniques
- Has excellent behaviour management skills
- Is enthusiastic with a good sense of humour
- Is keen to learn and develop professionally
