Were looking for a Survey Project Manager to join our Survey Group in our Lenexa Kansas office. This role is ideal for a skilled survey professional who can lead and manage both field and office survey projects ensuring quality performance and client satisfaction.

What Youll Do

As a Survey Project Manager youll:

Manage and perform land surveying projects with construction experience preferred.
Lead topographical boundary and ALTA/NSPS survey projects.
Collaborate with field crews and office technicians to build a high-performing team.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Prepare survey scopes and cost estimates.
Perform and review project work in AutoCAD.
Review work completed by survey technicians.
Prepare rights-of-way easement and dedication documents.
Interpret engineering plans accurately.
Maintain standards in survey notes point descriptions and calculations.
Document project tasks clearly when needed.
Communicate directly with clients to ensure scope deadlines and expectations are met.
Provide field documentation and direction to survey crews and CAD technicians.
Maintain organized project files including notes research and survey documents.
Support other departments to meet project deadlines and budgets.
Manage project schedules and deliverables.
Ensure QA/QC processes are completed before client deliverables are submitted.
Communicate workload and scheduling needs to manager.

Staff Management

Maintain effective communication across all levels of staff.
Demonstrate leadership with project teams.
Direct staff activities to meet project goals and deadlines.
Ensure deliverables meet requirements and quality standards.
Manage workload and forecast future resource needs.
Communicate schedule changes in advance.

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelors degree a plus.
Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
Proven punctuality and attendance.
5 years of experience in surveying project management including final deliverables in AutoCAD.
Experience in client management staff utilization and progress reporting.
Proficiency in boundary determinations legal descriptions geodetic and plane survey calculations.
Experience with GPS Terrestrial LiDAR and conventional field equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
