Position description
The Law Society of Saskatchewan is looking for a Manager of Human Resources to join our to the Deputy Executive Director General Counsel this position provides proactive collaborative and solutionoriented operational support in all areas of Human Resources (HR) as a generalist.
The ideal candidate leads by example embodies the Law Societys organizational values possesses strong organizational skills professional judgment excellent communication abilities and can manage the HR function with personal attributes such as empathy and integrity while handling sensitive information and fostering a positive work culture.
Role and responsibilities:
In this position you will oversee the daytoday HR operations including:
- Observing labour laws and employment legislation across the entire company
- Analyzing and interpreting data to create HRrelated reports
- Administering recruitment selection and promotion processes
- Preparing job descriptions contractual terms and conditions of employment
- Managing payroll and contributions to RSPs
- Maintaining employee data and HR documentation
- Benefits administration
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process via Humi HRMS
- Administering HR projects and initiatives
- Maintaining HR records preparing HR documents and ensuring employees receive adequate HR support
- Creating and updating company HR policies as needed

Key competencies and assessment criteria
Qualifications
Successful applicants will possess the following qualifications:
A bachelors degree in HR business or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of five years of progressive human resources management experience.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP designation) is desirable
Experience in different HR functional areas including managing recruitment and onboarding handling employee relations ensuring policy compliance administering compensation and benefits and coordinating training and development programs.
Comprehensive understanding of payroll programs and relevant payroll accounting principles
Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Attention to detail
Excellent communications skills
Knowledge of HR software (HRIS or HRMS)
Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Digital literacy (MS Office applications)
Conflict management skills
Decisionmaking skills
Lived experience as a member of an equityseeking/equitydeserving group will also be considered an asset.
