Job Description
WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a Sample/Laboratory Administrator to join our Laboratory team based in Spartanburg South Carolina. The Sample/Laboratory Administrator is responsible for all administrative functions relating to the receiving of samples the registration of samples sample management storage and outbound shipments. The Sample/Laboratory Administrator ensures the clients expectations are exceeded by coordinating internally across divisions and with the customer directly.
Hours: Full Time / 40 hours per week / MondayFriday
Location: Spartanburg South Carolina USA On Site

RESPONSIBILITIES
On completion of a thorough induction and training process as a member of the Sample Administration department you will be competent in the following tasks not all of which you will be expected to carry out simultaneously:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors handling phone calls and directing them to the appropriate staff members.
- Perform various administrative duties such as printing binding photocopying and managing daily visitors.
- Opening incoming packages and mail sorting and distributing as needed.
- Registering samples/jobs into a bespoke laboratory system accurately to ensure customer requirements are recorded.
- Sorting and repackaging/labelling samples as needed.
- Registering and organizing samples in sample storage.
- Packaging and shipping of samples.
- Coordinate with other Alfred H Knight laboratories/divisions when needed.
- Generate the certificate of analysis and Invoices for distribution internally and with the client.
- Scanning and uploading copies of documentation.
- Update and communicate sample/job status with clients.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
Required Work Experience
Essential
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office management tools and applications.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and electronically.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
Desirable
- 2 years office/administrative experience.
- Customer care experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
