CAD Designer
Northampton
Monday Friday 85
Salary DOE up to 30k
We have partnered with a new design team who are looking for a passionate and committed CAD designer to join them on a permanent basis.
This is a handson role working closely with their head of design that will allow you growth and development in the world of design production and CNC.
Key Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to perform various machining operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality
- Meet production schedules and perform routine machine maintenance.
- Create programs using CAD software.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proficiency in operating CNC lathe machines
- Knowledge of CAD software for reading engineering drawings
- Ability to use hand tools effectively
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machine issues is desirable
- Experience with materials handling and tooling
- Rendering experience is highly desirable or 3D modelling
- A positive attitude to leaning and wanting to progress a career in design
